Il nome del progetto deriva dalle iniziali delle quattro parole in lingua inglese – Abolish, Testing – Our Mission. Il progetto è implementato sotto l’alto patronato del Presidente della Repubblica del Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Iran, Turkmenistan railway soon to be inaugurated
The Gorgan-Incheh Borun railway will be inaugurated by the end of 2012, an official with the National Iranian Railways stated.

La centrale termoelettrica a carbone Ekibastuz-1 è progettata per raggiungere i 4.000 MW di produzione.
Prima dell’annuncio della transazione, Ekibastuz-1 era posseduta in quote paritarie dal Fondo Sovrano Samruk-Kazyna e dal gruppo Kazakhmys, specializzata nello sfruttamento delle cave minerarie (oltre 30 milioni di tonnellate rame all’anno).

Il Presidente della Repubblica del Kazakhstan ha stabilito una nuova festività da celebrarsi il 18 Agosto: il “Border Guard Day”, in onore ai 14 militari di frontiera morti la scorsa settimana in circostanze misteriose ai confini con la Cina.
Il relativo decreto è stato pubblicato dai giornali ufficiali ed è entrato subito in vigore.
Uzbek President to visit Kazakhstan in early September
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov will be in Kazakhstan on an official visit in early September, a government source told Trend. The source noted that the visit to Astana is scheduled for September 6-7.

USA to provide grant to Kazakh KazTransGas
KazTransGas and USTDA have signed a grant agreement to prepare a feasibility study for nitrogen-helium development in deposits belonging to Amangeldy, KazTransGas said on Thursday.
“The grant will enable KazTransGas to define the economic, technical and financial capabilities of the innovative project for Kazakhstan for exploration, extraction, separation and recycling of helium, methane, and nitrogen on the deposit of Amangeldy group in Zhambyl region,” the statement said.
Separation of the gas flow provides that value-added products, such as fertilizer, purified helium, can be made on these deposits and used separately in various high-tech industries.
Concentrations of helium-nitrogen-methane gas at deposits in Amangeldy, Anabay, Airakty and Kumyrly gas fields contain from 8 percent to 81 percent of nitrogen and from 0.165 percent to 0.694 percent of helium.
Karasaisky: 8 persone uccise in un parco nazionale, polizia cerca sospetti
La polizia del Kazakistan è a caccia dei sospetti dopo l’omicidio di otto persone in un parco nazionale. A riferirne sono le agenzie locali, che citano il ministro dell’Interno Kalmukhanbet Kasymov, precisando che alcune delle vittime sono state accoltellate. Due corpi sono stati rinvenuti nella casa di una guardia forestale nella regione di Karasaisky, 700 chilometri circa a sudest di Astana. I resti di altre vittime sarebbero stati scoperti ad almeno 25 chilometri di distanza nel parco nazionale di Ilye-Altai.
German Foreign Minister to visit Kazakhstan
German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan on August 29, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to Kazakh Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Altai Abibullayev.
“On August 29 German Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle will pay his first official visit to our country. He will also take part in an international convention on nuclear testing ban in the period of freedom from nuclear weapons,” Abibullayev said on Monday at the press briefing.
Within the visit Westerwelle plans to meet with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov and Kazakh Industry and New Technologies Minister Asset Issekeshev.
“During the visit a wide range of issues will be discussed, including the Iranian nuclear program, with regard to Germany’s participation in the negotiations 5 +1. Moreover it is expected to discuss the situation in Syria and security in the Central Asian region,” Abibullayev said.
Moreover, the parties will discuss legalization of the agreements reached during Kazakh President’s official visit to Germany in February 2012.
